Units are on scene at Aldine ISD Carter Academy with a smell of smoke in the building. Everyone has been evacuated and everyone is safe. We are investigating the smell but there is no danger. Emergency vehicles will be here for a little longer to continue the investigation of the source.
UPDATE: The source of the smell was located in an AC unit having mechanical issues. There was no fire and everything was checked by firefighters and Aldine ISD staff. All students were allowed back in the building after it was deemed safe.
